Description
PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 1, 30", with SH Needle, is a nonabsorbable sterile surgical suture composed of silk, a natural organic protein. This suture is designed for use in soft tissue approximation and ligation where extended tensile strength is required. Its nonabsorbable nature allows it to provide long-term support to the wound site, making it suitable for various surgical disciplines.
The silk filaments in PERMA-HAND™ are specially processed to eliminate natural waxes and gums, resulting in a smooth, uniform strand with reduced tissue drag. This treatment enhances pliability and ensures consistent handling characteristics throughout surgical procedures. The braided structure further contributes to superior knot tie-down and secure wound closure.
The SH needle is a 3/8 circle taper point needle, designed for soft tissue penetration. Combined with the 30-inch length and size 1 gauge, PERMA-HAND™ offers robust handling for procedures that demand greater tensile strength, such as general closure, gastrointestinal, and gynecologic surgeries.
